Harlow’s popular outdoor gym facility, which opened in the Town Park in April, was officially launched on Saturday 8 August 2015.

The gym is next to the footbridge which goes over the hill from the Greyhound Pub, located on land opposite the top of the old pitch and putt course. It is designed to help improve local residents health and wellbeing and provides more free facilities for all to enjoy in Harlow Town Park.

The Outdoor Gym currently has eight pieces of equipment that enable residents to get a full body workout. The equipment includes a set of triple pull-up bars, a sit-up bench, a step box multi-gym, a chest press/pull down, a swingalong, a set of hurdles, a set of parallel bars and a balance beam. There will also be an additional four pieces of equipment installed on land above the adventure playground in the near future. The new equipment will enable residents to get a cardio workout and will include a bicycle, hand cycle, recumbent cycle and a strength wheel.
