If you call into the visitor centre you can pick up an activity map for 50p (great for the kids to keep) and set off on an adventurous walk through the deep dark woods to hunt for the Gruffalo along with all the other characters from the classic tale from Julia Donaldson. There are various activities along the way.

Pay and Display car parking is available in Thorndon North CM13 3RZ. (as of 6/8/13 the car park charge is £2.20)
The Visitor Centre includes a shop, information boards and a small tea room. There are toilets in a shed behind and a covered picnic area also lots of picnic tables available.

If the trail is too short why not take a picnic or go on one of the way-market walks too. The scenery is lovely.
Disabled bays are provided in both car parks.
