These Bereavement Cafe’s are for anyone who has experienced the loss of someone close to them, no matter how long ago.  They are completely free to attend and you are welcome to drop in at any time throughout the events. The atmosphere is very relaxed and informal with hot drinks and refreshments.

CRUSE Bereavement Care

CRUSE Bereavement offers support and counselling for all bereaved people no matter how long since the bereavement. The service is on a self-referral basis only.

Home-Start Essex, (Harlow)

 Home-Start Essex is a leading family support charity working across Essex to build the confidence and skills of parents/carers to achieve healthy and positive outcomes for children.  They offer home visiting support to families (with at least 1 child under 5) with a range of issues such as being overwhelmed by the death of a loved one.  This is a free, confidential service.

MIND in West Essex

We understand that everyone’s experience of loss will be different and that therefore we have a range of support opportunities available 

We aim to offer flexible, personalised and cost-effective support for people experiencing these difficulties.

WAY Widowed & Young

WAY offers a unique peer-to-peer support network to anyone who has lost their partner at a young age. We know that talking to and socialising with others who have been through a similar experience can be an enormous help when you are trying to rebuild your life after bereavement.

If you were bereaved when you were aged 50 or under, married or not, with or without children, whatever your sexual orientation, race or religion – you are welcome to join WAY.

Membership costs just £25 a year and includes many benefits

WAY Up is for those aged 51 or over.  A lively group of widowed men and women that is flourishing across the UK.

Most WAY Up members are aged 52-65 and offer each other support and friendship on their forum, as well as holding gatherings and parties that are becoming the stuff of legend.

GEMS – Social Group for the Widow & Widower in Harlow

Every First and Third Tuesday of the month at 7.30 pm

The group has been running since November 2007

We now have over 60 members!

We arrange Social Events, trips out, boat trips, walks, dinner dances and are always looking for new ideas for outings.

We are a really nice group of people who offer each other support and a listening ear.
