The Harvey Centre in Harlow is delighted to announce that it will be officially launching its food quarter ‘The Terrace’ with an exciting free event for the whole family on Saturday 17th February between 12 pm – 6 pm.
Shoppers can expect to enjoy an array of free entertainment inside the centre. Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman and Supergirl will be roaming the centre and are available for the ultimate superhero selfie. Chefs on stilts will be wandering around the centre to amaze shoppers with their chef-tastic antics and good humour. Skaters will also be gliding around the centre’s malls handing out offers and vouchers to shoppers. There will also be a free photo booth situated in The Terrace, where visitors are encouraged to get into the spirit of the event and dress-up with food inspired props.
Restaurants within the centre will be providing additional entertainment on the day. Sticky Sisters will have balloons and mini eggs for the kids. Plus there will be a sample table outside the restaurant for shoppers to enjoy. There will also be lots of discounts to enjoy at Sticky Sisters including 15% off on the day plus kids can eat for free! Subway will be offering discount and meal deal vouchers. Burger Priest will be handing out £5 meal deal flyers and there will be food to sample outside their restaurant. Burger King will be offering free ice cream samples, dress-up crowns and colouring books to shoppers and they’ll have great food offers on the day. Kung Fu The Real China Oriental Buffet will be offering a 10% discount on the day and Cineworld will be offering £1 off on popcorn when purchasing tickets. So there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
The Harvey Centre will also be running an exciting social media competition on Saturday 17th February, with the winner receiving an incredible year’s worth of free food at The Terrace’s restaurants. This incredible prize can be won by simply liking and sharing the event on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. People can then double their chances of winning by coming down to the launch and taking a photo in the photo booth and putting it on social media, tagging The Harvey Centre in the picture. A winner will then be announced on Monday 19th February.
It has been a truly exciting period for The Harvey Centre. From the launch of Cineworld in December 2016 to the opening of Sticky Sisters and Burger Priest at the end of 2017, it’s been a very busy couple of years. The Terrace now boasts restaurants including Sticky Sisters, Burger Priest, Burger King, Kung Fu The Real China Oriental Buffet, Subway, and a Cineworld Cinema. There is something for all tastes and styles, and with parking adjacent to The Terrace, it couldn’t be easier for customers to visit.
Bryan Young, Centre Manager at The Harvey Centre says, “This is a really exciting time for Harlow. In the past, we’ve had a fairly limited night-time leisure offer in the town and our goal was to change this and respond to residents’ demands. Thanks to The Terrace, Harlow is becoming a bustling town once again, where people want to come after work with friends and family to eat and drink in a variety of family-friendly restaurants before checking out the latest blockbuster at Cineworld.”
