Harlow Rockschool

Meet: Monday Evening 7 pm – 9.30pm/ Friday evenings 6.15pm – 9.30 pm School holidays – Week long courses. With a number of live performances within the local community at varied venues.

Details: Harlow Rockschool is established to support, motivate and empower young local people through a combination of music-related and personal development activities. Guided by professionally qualified musicians and music industry specialists, young people are given the opportunity to develop their potential musically. As well as the performances, young people are taught a variety of music-related skills and gain a range of team building and problem-solving skills. The Rockschool enables young people to become confident performers and/or technical personnel who contribute positively to the local community.

Class Act Theatre School (CATS)

For children aged 4-18 CATS has been running for 13 years providing classes including acting, dancing, singing and musical theatre for children aged 4-18. The theatre school also offers tuition for LAMDA grades. Classes are held on Sunday afternoons in the theatre at St Nicholas School, Old Harlow. Performances take place in the Victoria Hall Theatre, Old Harlow.

Academy Kids Classes for ages 5-7

Details: (This class is for children who are in infant school Key Stage 1) These classes are based on fun and confidence building and are an introduction to performing arts. This class prepares the students to move up to the main school when they move into Yr 3 at Primary School.

THEATRE SCHOOLS

The school was developed to give youngsters a true insight into the workings of London’s West-End Musical Theatre whilst giving them a strong foundation in their performing arts training. The students learn a broad range of performance techniques covering acting, singing & dancing taught by working industry professionals.

Ballet First

Ballet First offers expert training in Classical Ballet with former Royal Ballet School-trained Principal Theresa Crumb. Classes for vocational and non-vocational students all ages and levels are held in a large dance studio at St John’s ARC, Old Harlow, with regular performance opportunities. Addicted to Dance
