Maldon Promenade Park has changed quite a bit over the last few years and now there is, even more, to do there. Its one of our favourite places to visit with the grandkids.  In the valley, there is a children’s play area which includes a Galleon, a large climbing and sliding activity structure, a sandpit, a zip wire and the popular water splash park.  The addition is a row of beach huts adjacent to the Galleon which can be rented as a base for the day.

    Play Area & Fort

Galleon-play-area-Maldon The children’s play area includes a Galleon (a large climbing and sliding activity structure) which is surrounded by sand.  So as well as climbing about they can play with their buckets and spades in the sand.  Nearby is a fort they can climb.

    The Splash Park

    Splash-pool-Maldon-Promenade-Park
  • The kids always have so much fun in the splash park where the brightly coloured pipes squirt water out at them.  The splash park is open from 11 am – 5 pm every day during the school summer holidays and at weekends from the beginning of May until the middle of September.  (Opening times are subject to weather conditions).During the busy periods, children are issued with coloured wrist/ankle bands and sessions in the pool are limited to about 30 minutes.  This ensures that it doesn’t get too crowded and everyone has a chance to enjoy the fun.  You do need to queue to get in and it depends how far into the session as to how long you have to wait. The Splash Park is open on selected dates from April to September.  Admission prices apply.  Click here for opening times and important information about the use of the Splash Park   or phone Maldon TIC on 01621 8566503
