Please be careful if you are doing supermarket shopping in Harlow as a friend of mine has just told me today about her Mum who was shopping in Church Langley Tesco last weekend. She paid for her shopping with her debit card but there were a group of 3-4 foreign people behind her that were jostling a bit and pushing which flustered her. They were probably doing it purposely to fluster her and had someone watching the pin she was putting in. They appeared again when she was loading her car. Two of them distracted her asking for directions to the local hospitalusing a map as they said that the female of their group was not feeling well whilst another took her card from her bag on the car seat. She did not realise the card was gone until several days later and by that time they had cleared out her bank account.
This was very clever because had they taken her bag or purse she would have realised sooner and put a stop on her card. When I phoned my sister to warn her she told me that there were a group of foreign people walking round Sainsburys last week who seemed suspicious to her as they did not buy anything but were picking things up and putting them down but seemed to be watching people.
Perhaps you could pass this on - I have phoned round today and warned my mum and also my daughters because they could so easily be distracted if the children are crying etc I expect they were looking for the right people to target when my sister spotted them in Tesco.
