Bollywoods in Hertford - Restaurant Review
A couple of Saturdays ago a group of nine of us went to Bollywoods in Hertford for an Indian meal. I have heard some good reports on the food but thought it would be nice to try it for myself.
Our meal was booked for 8pm but, as not all the group arrived on time, we sat in the bar area enjoying a drink and a chat before we were seated. We were not pressurised to go to the table and when every one arrived we went and sat down. The service was good, there were plenty of pompadoms and chutneys put on the table for us to eat whilst decide ding what to order.
When the starters arrived I was surprised to see the size of the portions, I must say that had I known that the portions were going to be as large as they were most of us would not have had starters, I ordered a rice with my meal but ended up sharing my husbands and leaving my portion untouched because like the starter there was plenty to eat. The taste of every dish I had was lovely and I cannot fault it at all. The atmosphere was happy, friendly and lively and they were packed out.
We so enjoyed the atmosphere and took our time eating that we did not leave until 12 midnight and at no time was we asked to leave or feel that we outstayed our welcome. I would definitely go again and recommend it to my friends.
