Time for Santa
Lots of sweets and chocolate treats.
Time for Christmas cheer.
Presents wrapped beneath the tree and
Family gather near.
Children hang their stockings up.
Excitement everywhere.
Santa’s night to ride the skies
Out in the cold night air.
Across the rooftops, through the clouds
Rudolph’s nose bright red.
Leaving gifts for boys and girls
Beside each sleepy head.
Come the dawn on Christmas Morn
Great wonderment galore.
Children’s voices fill the air
As they wonder what’s in store.
They spend the day unwrapping toys
Until at last to bed.
They have to wait another year
When Santa, once more, rides his sled.
