You can pick up a suitcase for as little as £5 and sell the cases and contents on e-bay and at boot sales, although you take a gamble on the contents. Some people say that the more they buy the better chance you have of finding something decent. It could be a bag of smelly old clothes or you could open it to find designer goods which you can then sell on. Sometimes the goods can be sold for up to six times the amount paid.
Suitcases are broken open at the auction houses and anything valuable is sold separately. Sentimental items such as photos and diaries are destroyed and alcohol is handed over to Customs. Everything else is left in the bags which are sold in a lucky dip-style auction with the buyers not knowing what is in the cases.
