Police working together with The Safer Harlow Partnership ran Operation Ryde over the half term period to tackle underage drinking.
The operation which ran for approximately two weeks resulted in officers taking positive action, seizing over 100 cans and bottles of alcohol, such as alco-pops, lager and vodka, including several two-litre bottles of cider.
Youngsters that were caught had their details taken and letters were sent home to their parents. They were also quizzed about where they obtained the alcohol from and the details were forwarded to the licensing department at Harlow Council.
Pc Daniel Taylor said: "The operation was very successful and we will continue to target underage drinkers to ensure their safety and reduce anti-social behaviour, especially with the summer months approaching."
