Luxury apartment to rent at La Cortijada, Calahonda

This apartment with its breath taking views of the sea is privately owned and is situated in beautiful gardens.  There are two large swimming pools on the complex which have a shallow end that children can walk in easily) and lifeguards in the summer season.

The accommodation can sleep 4/5 and is of a very high standard.
There are security gates and an entrance phone to the apartment.

The kitchen is new and contains a dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge, freezer, microwave, cooker, hob, toaster, coffee maker, juicer and all the utensils required.

The Lounge/Diner has a dining table and six chairs, sofa, TV, DVD, CD player, Satellite TV and leads onto the front terrace.

The master bedroom has a  6ft bed, wardrobes, ensuite bathroom
with bath, shower, TV, and a hairdryer.  This bedroom leads onto the
front terrace.

The second bedroom leads onto the back terrace and has twin beds, with one making a double bed and wardrobes.   The second bathroom has a large walk-in shower, toilet and sink.  Also a TV and DVD player.

There is air-conditioning in both bedrooms.  All towels are provided
including beach towels.

Calahonda - The Area 

Calahonda is situated on the Costa Del Sol in Southern Spain and is situated next to Marcella.  The Costa Del Sol translated means the sunshine coast and sun seekers will not be disappointed as the area lives up to its name, enjoying long balmy summers and short mild winters making it a perfect year round destination.

 

Calahonda is only 20 minutes from Malaga airport (for flight see Easy jet)
and has a wide selection of all types of restaurants and shops.  Within the apartment there is a guide to some of the local restaurants, attractions etc
with telephone numbers.

The Costa del Sol is also known as the Costa Del Golf, with dozens of
beautiful gold courses and you will be spoilt for choice.

Calahonda is also ideally situated for visiting the many other areas and attractions:  Gibralter, Mijas, Marbella, Puerto Banus, Fuengirola, Ronda,
Coin, Granada, to name but a few.  You can ski at Sierra Nevada, only one
and a half hours away.  Other activities include cable car at Benalmadena,
two water parks, Selwo Marina (sealife), Tivoli World (theme park) Safari
park, boat excursions etc.

LOCAL INFO

Just 5 minutes walk away is a local supermarket, well stocked with English
and Spanish produce.  Also children’s play area, bar, and two restaurants. 
One of the restaurants is Spanish offering an extensive menu of pizza,
chicken, steak, fish, vegetarian selection, breakfast etc and is good food. 
They also offer a take-away service on all dishes.

Next door is an Italian restaurant which offers a large selection of pasta,
meats, fish and vegetarian dishes again the food is excellent with lovely
décor.  We have eaten in both restaurants and had take-always and
strongly recommend them both.

You can get to the beach by car or the local tram which runs all year round
and can be picked up outside the restaurants.  There are lots more
restaurants by the beach of all types i.e. Chinese, Indian, English, etc
and McDonalds.

Every Wednesday and Friday there is a local market which is very good
and has fresh produce, clothes, shoes etc.

Prices

Low season	£350.00 per week	November December January February March
Mid season	£450.00 per week	April May June to 15th Sepember from 15th October
High season	£350.00 per week	June from 16th July August September to 14th

 

We let this apartment out for long weekends/few days.  There is still some availability for this year.  We have found Easyjet has always had the best price.  The earlier you can book the flight the cheaper it normally is. We do midweek to midweek bookings as it's cheaper to fly.

 

The above prices include towels, beach towels and bedding.

We can arrange extra cleaning if you require collection from airport and food hampers at an additional cost.
