Message of Comfort
It’s dark under here, but comforting, warm.
An all enveloping calm surrounds me.
I am not afraid – I’m shielded from harm,
Returned now to Nature, forever free.
Harsh sound no longer batters my ears.
Pain cannot gnaw me nor tear at my bones.
Bright light does not touch the eyes of my mind.
Breeze-borne away the sorrow and moans.
The earth is my solace. Soft rain is falling
Singing a song as it sinks through the ground,
Lullaby-lilting, and I am not lonely.
This is my rest time, a peace so profound.
