Harlow Council has teamed
up with The Essex Legacy from the 2012 Games at Essex County Council to deliver
the Olympic inspired ‘Walking Your Way to London 2012’ programme to Harlow residents.
There will be 20 led
walks between now and London 2012 across 5 routes based on the Olympic Rings
with varying degrees of duration and difficulty. On completing each of the
routes, walkers will be awarded with a coloured pin badge to represent the
colour of the route that they have completed.
The first walk (red
route) will be held on Tuesday 30th November 2010. The route will be
around Hospital & Risdens Wood with the meeting point being at the Parndon
Wood Nature Reserve car park (near to Crematorium).
Walkers are invited to
arrive at 9.45am and be ready to start the walk at 10am. The walk is
approximately 2 miles long and will take around 45
minutes.
