Non Contact Rugby for
Children 2 yrs to 6 yrs
About
us:
Little
Scrummers is an exciting idea based on non contact rugby for girls and boys
aged 2 years to 6 years, which encourages them to live a healthier life. It
improves their gross motor skills, and sporting ability by introducing them to
sport at an earlier age and also increases their confidence and self
esteem. It has a positive effect on
communication, behavioural and social skills.
Our
aims:
Simple: To introduce younger children into the game
of rugby at an earlier age, by equipping them with the basic skills that they
can develop later at school or at club level.
In
New Zealand children are encouraged to participate in Club Rugby from as young
as 5 compared to 7 in the UK, and the results speak for themselves – we want to
change this, and make the sport more accessible.
Little
Scrummers are partnered with Chelmsford Rugby Club and are now working together
to help bring the exciting game of non contact rugby to the younger children
who deserve that opportunity.

Cost:
£30 annual membership fee, then £6 per class, payable in termly blocks, in advance.
